“Mentoring — a balance between instructing and autonomy”

Mentoring is obviously not teaching, providing answers, telling, or instructing. It’s also not about leaving the students totally on their own.

A grandmother is a good mentor — always praising and asking a child to teach. What other characteristics can you think of?

Differences

According to Nasa scientists, we are born creative.  In a longitudinal study conducted on 1600 kids, they found that 98% of 5-year olds are creative geniuses.  This percentage unfortunately dropped significantly as they grew older.
